Try using heat for the muscle aches. You can use a heating pad if you are awake. (Heating pads can cause burns when you sleep.) Use a hot water bottle or electric blanket when you are sleeping. Otherwise, just use warm clothing or several blankets to keep yourself warm. Heat is your body's own way of killing off germs (that's why our bodies create fevers), so help your body along by staying warm. You may also find that drinking hot broth or hot tea may help. The only relief is time. You should recover from it.
