Can't access group folders with ä in the name ("a with two dots" in the name).?

Previously folder (and file) names in the "Files" section of our group has been accessible regardless of the name. Now only folders NOT containing non-standard letters (such as åäö) are accessible. Is there a known workaround so that I can rename the folders to something that will work or at least a workaround so that I can access the folder content? Or are the files lost now?
