the 12 is like above the sqaure root sign
looks like... 12
...............y= √x
don't mind the dots
Then what is domain?
what is range?
square both side
y^2 = 144 x= 4(36) x .........(i)
4a = 144 or a = 36
This is half parabola openning right side above x-axis
Focus is (36,0) Ans
and directix x = -36 .......Ans
If this is meant to be y=12/âx, I think i.e 12 divided by âx.
The domain can be all positive values of x, x>0.
If you sketch the graph you see that the range is 0<y<infinifty.
If this is the 12th root of x ,y=x^(1/12) the domain and range are the same as above.
It sounds like you are looking for the 12th root of x or the cube root of the square root of the square root of x ( 3x2x2) I do not think anyone has gone that far.
Domain = all positive real numbers
Range = all positive real numbers
it means the 12th power root:
so y^12 =x
