Alright so, I'm fourteen turning fifteen this year.
For the past two years I have dreamt of being a midwife, I would do anything to be one. I have taken all the subjects that I need for it. I just adore babies, I think pregnancy and birth is absolutely incredible, I'm in third year in school currently but I go into fourth year in August.
My mum's friend runs a nursery and offered me work experience at the nursery when I go into fourth year. I think it'll be amazing, seeing the adorable little babies♡ I don't even care about the nappy changing side of it, I'll gladly do it if it means I can take care of a sweet little baby for a while!
Midwifery is something I am really passionate about, and it truly is my dream job. I watch 'One Born Every Minute' every Wednesday and have done for two years, and it's just perfect. One midwife on it said "You are the first person on earth that holds that baby, before the mother or father, your the first person to lay hands on that newborn life".
I think that's absolutely incredible, I just... I'd love to be able to do that♡ People at my school find it strange, that I would rather deliver babies than be a popstar or whatever.
What do you think, should I become a midwife? :-) Be honest♡

I think you should do anything you have a passion for!! It sounds as though you really have a passion for it and that means you'll be good at it. Do enough research and make sure that you are up to every part of your training. All I can say is, my mom is a nurse and helps deliver babies often and it's not at all a pretty sight. So if you have a weak stomache.... It's a no-no. Also, you have to be empathic towards the mother and her needs and not be set off by her yelling. Believe me, if you have a patient that is slightly as panick-ey and irratated as I was while giving birth, your going to need it. Good luck and I trust you'll be great in what ever you do!
I think that sounds WONDERFUL! And good for you for knowing what you want to do at such a young age. Something else that it's good to learn at a young age is to BE yourself and follow your own heart and dreams. There are always going to be people out there who will question you, but if you learn now to listen to your own thoughts this is a skill that will serve you very well in life.
As for being a pop star, you have to look rationally at how realistic that is. It honestly just isn't going to happen for most people. It's much better to chase after a dream you know you can achieve and that seems to bring you such joy. I can tell just by the way you talk about it that it will. :)
Start now taking every opportunity you can to learn what you can and definitely take your friend up on that nursery experience you have been offered! You sound like a young lady with a good head on your shoulders and I wish you the best of luck!
You said nappy, and that's all the predijust talk I want to hear.
Sure!
