Can you explain how to solve (3√20-√15)/(6√5) ?

@Kyle: it's actually -√15, but I put that as my answer and i got it wrong. I just figured out that you can't cancel anything out unless there is no plus or minus sign adding or subtracting a number or variable

(3sqrt(4)(sqrt(5) - sqrt(3)sqrt(5))/(6sqrt(5))

(3(2) - sqrt(3))/6

(6 - sqrt(3))/6

1 - 1/6sqrt(3)

First, take the 3â20 and factor a 2 out of the 20 since 4x5 is 20 and 4 can be âed to 2. This will give you a 6â5. Now that you have (6â5-â15)/(6â5), cancel out the 6â5 on the top and bottom. The answer you will be left with is â15 which can not be factored.

Answer: â15
