Absolutely! Men and women can be friends. Having said that, it’s usually because they’re at different stages in their lives or there are practicalities – including marriage and living too far away from each other –- that stand in the way of romantic involvement.

That is a great question. Any thing is possible in life. I have wondered the same thing my self growing up. The question should be Can a straight man and straight woman be just friends? What if they do not have a boy friend or a girl friend and they spend a lot of time together? What if they drink and get drunk together? Will they end up having sex with each other? It all depends. Some people look at others as being sexual beings and when they spend a lot of time together having a great time together and/or getting drunk together then things could happen. These are examples and that is why I say it all depends on the friends and what they do together. I am gay but my female friends did not know back some years when I was in my early twenties. I had a three some with one of them and the other she came onto me after she had gone out on a date and came back buzzing from drinking. I did not allow it to get far that night. I would say the number is low on if a straight guy could be just friends with a straight female. Sex would be on one of their minds at some point. Could a gay guy be just friends with another gay guy? Could a gay female be just friends with a gay female? It all depends. Any thing is possible.
Yes of course about half my friends are female, although I'm crushing on one of them... I have no romantic feelings for the others though. And since this is LGBT, haven't you ever heard the girls going on about how they want a gay best friend?
