Can genital herpes be spread a hair trimmer? I would really appreciate any advice and just to clarify it’s not a razor. Thank you?
I found out someone who recently contracted herpes used my hair trimmer in the pubic area. I’ve researched that herpes can’t be transmitted through inatimate objects but I feel like that’s untrue. I’ve had a handful of pimples down there and it’s freaking me out, and again to clarify no sores, pain or, itching. Again any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m honestly freaking out, I’m not one to sleep around and this is just terrible.

Unless you used it directly after some one that has herpes while they had a break out, you're not likely to get it from a trimmer. Herpes doesn't survive for long periods of time when it's out side of the body.
Get a new trimmer or clean it really well before you use it.
Herpes viruses spread most easily from individuals with an active outbreak or sore. You can catch this virus if you:
* Have intimate or personal contact with someone who is infected
* Touch an open herpes sore or something that has been in contact with the herpes virus, such as infected razors, towels, dishes, and other shared items.
