Well, I don't think that people end life as a baby, unless it is a stillborn, but then there is really no cycle now is there? Perhaps it is more along the lines that when you start life, you are helpless and fragile, and when you end life (assuming one dies old) you pass the same way, helpless and fragile.

Human life is indeed a cycle in that we begin as a helpless infant and we end up (usually) as a helpless octogenarian.
Helpless in the sense that we need assistance from others to perform basic functions such as feeding and dressing ourselves.
