So my fiancé and her mom had gotten into an argument and the police where called for domestic violence, after my fiancé had giving her statement the police officer asked for her number and said it was for the detective for a follow up call .... A few weeks later the same police officer saw her driving through town and remembered her car which sticks out because it was a new lifted tahoe... With her kids in the back seat he pulled her over and just started talking too her she asked what she had done wrong and he replied that their was no reason that he wanted to see how she was doing and if she ever had any free time she said no then he said well have a nice day and be safe... About a month later she gets a text message that said hey and she said who is this and the the police officer called and started asking how she was doing and what she was up too that he hasn't seen her around lately ... Not knowing that she had sold her tahoe and bought a new vehicle.. Asked her how things where between her and her mother and if she still lived their she told him no then he asked her where she lived now.... She was sitting beside me on speaker phone and I recorded the phone conversation... Can we do anything about this ?????

He has no business contacting anyone, unless he is the lead investigator.
I would bring this to the attention of the watch commander, immediately.
Well, very simple if she gave her phone number out or if got it from a report is up in dispute, as I am sure she will say one thing and he will say another. But, if she has engaged in conversations with him, whether through txts or phone calls, then there is no crime committed, esp when she hasn't told him to stop. Some women want to complain about a man, when it is them who say " hey how's it going, where are you going whom are you with" When you engage in any convo, it is not an unwanted conversation.
Yes. She has to tell him that she is not interested in him and that she wants him to stop calling her. Say that she does not want to prosecute for stalking but if she has to she will if it continues.
I'd report the cop. He's fixated on her. HOWEVER, it would be best if she first told him to stop calling.
