Buying a new laptop for £500-£700?
Could you guys help me find a new laptop or netbook. My laptops recently broke and a need a new one for sixth form (also i'm going to university next year if that helps). All I will use it for is the internet and word documents.
At the moment I have £500, and my brother said he could lend me £300 if I want - however if you find a cheaper alternative that will still be good.
Also I think I would prefer something stylish/slim rather than good at performance, as long as the laptop is overall reliable and won't take that long to start up.

Update:Well my laptop at the moment has broken and I do need one for when I get back from half term. Even though I agree it would be better to buy it at January I don't think I can wait that long :D

I don't think you would need to borrow any money :)
Unless you want a gaming pc ;)
I would recommend however waiting for the January sales and going somewhere like comet or currys for the sales.
This year in January i picked up an excellent bargain laptop for £379
The laptop build is HP G56 4gb with pentium duel core :D
You should in theory be able to get a better laptop with higher specs a year later ;)
