Yes of course, I am sad when someone in my family dies.
I will never see my grandmother again. I loved her and I still do.
Because she's dead doesn't mean I don't cherish the time I spent with her or that I forget the imprint she left on my life.
I would love to see her again but I won't.
This is not a reason to pretend that she is actually still alive and just somewhere else. That would just hinder the process of accepting the world as it is without her.
As for my family after I die, I expect them to do the same.
When I'm dead, I'm dead. No-one will ever see me again except in photographs. The same applies to everyone. You might think that you are going to have an afterlife but there is no evidence anywhere that anyone gets an afterlife. So make the most of the one life you do have.

No. I know I'll never see them again. That's life.
Facts of life do not make me sad.

No, I don't care. You think I could get along with my parents FOREVER? At least when I mourn, it counts for something.
Yes it does.
However that doesn’t in any way prove god exists.
Nope.
Does it make you sad? We're the same you know.
