Providing healthcare requires the expenditure of human effort. If one person is required to expend human effort for the benefit of another person under penalty of government force, then that is no different from slavery. And I thought liberals were against slavery.
It's not even a real issue. But everyone of both sides uses that kind of language. It's not health care that costs people so much that it's debilitating, it's health insurance. They money makes it too expensive and too restrictive. The insurance companies tell YOU what they will cover. Now the government wants to tell YOU what they find acceptable. It's a mess. I'm waiting for Trump to come up with the next plan, and I think he will do as good as possible. I never expect health coverage to be perfect, but I think Trump doesn't care about all the pockets the money goes into.
As far as AOC, her problem with conservatives and those on the Right is that she is perceived as a total airhead without any math skills. She needs to work on that, but I don't think she really cares what anyone thinks. She's schmoozing to the Left and the media, and hates people like me because I dare to see through her facade.

I can tell you what is wrong with it.
