If you need car Today; mark the tie rod where it went with White Out. Go to a hardware store and get some grade 8 metric fine and course nuts that are about same height and inside diameter . Buy a size bigger ID and smaller ID; they can be deceptive. Try them. Whichever fits, Use. Height of the nut and outside width (across flats) really does not matter, here. Just get a nut that fits tie rod shaft and buts squarely against tie rod so it doesn't throw alignment off much.
Keep your receipt and return incorrects or save them for something else. On vehicles, you always find a use for another nut or screw,
