I have a big test tomorrow in socials class .. im in grade 9 and we're currently learning about coverting scales, time zones, etc . The teacher told us last day that we have to know " 1°n/s = ____ cm " .. i have no idea what this means .. i think its like a scare on a map to the actual word or something .. i dunno .. please help me

That's right. The equator is at 0°, so 1° N would be some number of kilometres north of the equator, while 1° S would be the same number of kilometres south. How many? 110.574 km.
However, the Earth is not a perfect sphere, so near the poles one degree is 111.694 km.
Thus, it is often said that one degree of latitude is "about" 111 km, or 111,000 metres, or 11,100,000 centimetres.
However, on different maps you can get different scales, so on the map 1 degree may be 1 cm. If that is the case, then on that map the scale is around 11 million to 1.
One degree of lattitude is about 60 nautical miles. Google should do the rest.
